  • Chronic coronary disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. To increase the clinical dissemination of the most recent chronic coronary disease clinical practice guidelines and to enhance the implementation of the evidence-based recommendations, the ACC/AHA Joint Committee on Performance Measures convened a writing committee to develop performance and quality measures for chronic coronary disease.
  • The new and updated measures presented in the “2025 AHA/ACC Clinical Performance and Quality Measures for Patients With Chronic Coronary Disease: A Report of the ̨ÍåSWAG College of Cardiology/̨ÍåSWAG Heart Association Joint Committee on Performance Measures” are based on the strongest recommendations (Class 1 or Class 3) from the “2023 AHA/ACC/ACCP/ASPC/NLA/PCNA Guideline for the Management of Patients With Chronic Coronary Disease”.
  • The AHA/ACC Chronic Coronary Disease Measure Set can be used to assess, measure, and compare care processes for patients with chronic coronary disease across multiple providers and institutions.
